“Katrina has been the most consistent, competent, honest, and compassionate therapist I’ve had the pleasure of working with. My mental health journey has led me and my family through the exhausting process of finding qualified help for my severe trauma and life-threatening disordered thoughts. She has helped me and my family through many dark and chaotic swings of bipolar disorder. We are forever grateful that I was referred to her”

“My experience in working with Katrina can be summed up in two words- eye opening! I was very skeptical in the beginning because of a not so welcoming experience years ago. Katrina has held my hand as she has helped me realize so many things about myself and as she has helped me unpack 45 years of life. Katrina seems to always have a plan, a tool, or a skillset, for whatever we are working on during that session. Katrina has done a great job in meeting me wherever I am …”
“…Katrina has made a positive impact on my life, and I am thankful…”
Sessions typically last 53-60 min. Clients can also request a 90 min or 2 hour intensive session with your therapist as well.
It’s completely common for individuals to not be sure what to talk about in therapy. Your therapist is there to guide you and ensure your time is utilized effectively to get valuable resources from the session.
Here are some helpful tips of things to share during your therapy session: Any distressing emotions or experiences you’ve had, a conflict in a relationship, a problem you’re not sure how to solve, anything that feels stressful or overwhelming from the past or present, negative thoughts you struggle with or behaviors you’d like to change
The frequency of sessions varies depending on individual needs. Most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust as progress is made.
It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist. If you do not, we encourage you to discuss your feelings during a session. If necessary, we can match you with another therapist who might be a better fit.
The duration of counseling varies widely among individuals. Some may find a few months sufficient, while others may engage in counseling for longer periods. The length of therapy is often determined by the complexity of the issues and your personal goals.
In your first session, you will discuss your personal background and the reasons you sought therapy. This initial conversation is focused on building trust, rapport, and connection. Your therapist will discuss confidentiality with you and their approach to helping you achieve your goals. You are welcome to ask any questions to help you feel more comfortable with the process.
